Beyond the Yearbook Photo: Creating a Senior Session That’s Uniquely You
Senior year is full of big moments—college plans, final games, concerts, and celebrations. Somewhere in the mix comes the yearbook photo. It’s quick and necessary, but it rarely captures who you really are.
My senior sessions go beyond the yearbook requirement. They’re about celebrating your personality, your interests, and your story through images that feel like you.
The Studio Experience vs. a Personalized Session
Most local schools use a large studio for official yearbook photos. It’s efficient but also impersonal. You show up, smile in front of a backdrop, and you’re done.
When you book your senior session with me, the experience is completely different. From our first conversation to your final gallery, you’ll work directly with me. I handle all communication, planning, photography, editing, and delivery. You’re never passed off to someone else.
We’ll talk about your style, interests, and favorite settings. Maybe that means downtown Highland Park or Lake Forest, the lakefront in Wilmette or Fort Sheridan, or a forest preserve filled with golden light. Together, we’ll choose what fits you best.
Creating a Session That’s Uniquely You
Every senior is different, and your photos should be too. I love designing sessions that highlight what makes you, you.
Some of my seniors have:
Played their instruments at home surrounded by music.
Included a pet snake, favorite car, or beloved pet.
Combined city and nature for two distinct looks.
Focused on fashion or hobbies that define them.
Whatever tells your story, we can make it happen.
Ready to Tell Your Story?
Your senior year deserves more than a studio backdrop. Your photos should feel natural, confident, and authentic.
Whether we’re exploring the lakefront, wandering a local downtown, or capturing golden light in a nearby forest preserve, your session will be personal, relaxed, and completely yours.
